  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process to include: interviewing, developing interview questions, completing the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other details.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Assist the HR Superintendent in identifying and implementing efficient recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and needs of the organization.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Attends and/or organizes job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities.
  • Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations.
  • Assist the HR Superintendent in developing and conducting trainings and professional development programs and objectives District-wide.
  • Serves as the Wellness Ambassador and manages the Peoria Park District Wellness Program.
  • Manages the Peoria Park District Volunteer Department, which includes supervision of staff and budget.
  • Ongoing management of the Peoria Park District workforce development pipeline, with emphasis on youth workforce development. Administrative work as it relates to planning, external partnership building, timekeeping and reporting, as well as training of youth and on-site supervision of part-time employees.
  • Develops youth workforce development positions to include: recruit, train, place, track, and supervise participants.
  • Coordinates with staff to identify meaningful internship and part-time positions for suitable workforce development program participants and/or other internship programs.
  • Coordinates with external partners to provide support services and identify community benefits within workforce development projects.
  • Identifies and facilitates advancement and professional development opportunities for youth and young adult employees.
  • Prepares reports regarding workforce development efforts for grantors, donors, or other stakeholders.
  • Conducts public and private presentations to potential interns for recruitment purposes.
  • Develops program goals and objectives under the leadership of the Superintendent of Human Resources in accordance with overall Park District goals.
  • Participates in collaborative and interdepartmental Peoria Park District groups.
  • Follows all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed. Supports all aspects of the Park District's safety program.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.
